#359 – Yao Bobby & Simon Grab, Corpsegrinder, Congotronics International, Wulffluw XCIV, Société Étrange, Scrounge

Good things come to wait, and we’ve been waiting a long time for the debut LP from the long-standing collaboration between Switzerland’s Simon Grab and Togo’s Yao Bobby, whose new single is an abrasive slice of forward-thinking experimentation.

We have another superb collaboration this week with the emergence of Congotronics International, a supergroup from the long-running Congotronics series on Crammed Discs. The new group, including Deerhoof, Juana Molina, Kasai Allstars, Konono No.1, Skeletons, and Wildbirds & Peacedrums, is as good as the sum of its parts.

Elsewhere this week we have metal from Cannibal Corpse vocalist Corpsegrinder, goth drum and bass from VHS¥DEATH, a Russian doubleheader of grime from Champion Sound and techno from Wulffluw XCIV, modern classical from Noir et Blanc and much more.
