Fela Kuti’s key collaborator Tony Allen kicks off this week’s podcast with a track from his excellent 2009 record with Finnish multi-instrumentalist Jimi Tenor. Elsewhere we’ve got exceptional soulful pop from Silicon, bouncy Thai goodness from The Super Ranat Band, a cut from King Midas Sound vocalist Roger Robinson’s new release on Jahtari, Japanese oddball Ichi, gorgeous Scandinavian folk from Mari Kvien Brunvoll, an exclusive first play of a track from the new Early Mammal LP, and much more.
