Raw Ambassador’s Mental Disorder track is as intense as the artist name and title would suggest, and it takes brave ears to get through that. New favourites and old favourites on this week’s show. We have the new one from Bjork, the lead track from the forthcoming L’Orange record (on his eighth podcast appearance), and a new collaboration between Pinch and Mumdance.

The unmistakable sounds of Tobacco kick-off a US-heavy podcast this week. We go off on our usual globe-trotting though, with experimental Tunisian music from China, sounds from Austria, stunning contemporary classical music from London, a Spanish reissue of a lost slice of delectable funk. There’s a mix of legendary, soon to be legendary, and utterly new artists on this week’s show. The likes of Scott Walker and Terminal Cheesecake are amongst the finest ever in their particular genres, whilst artists such as L’Orange and Ex-Easter Island Head are beginning to create consistently excellent bodies of work. More new music for your ears this week. We have two unreleased tracks – one from Teeth of the Sea side project Hirvikolari and another from Eyes and No Eyes’ Tristram Bawtree – we also have new ones from the legendary noise act Lightning Bolt and a hip hop collaboration between L’Orange and Jeremiah Jae. We’ve got a reworking of a rare Yves Simon track from brilliant British duo Psychemagik alongside recent releases from dubstep producer Proxima, Danish band Selvhenter as well as London jazz band The Heliocentrics and Melvin Van Peebles. Throw into that a rare track from Osibisa and The Funkees man Jake Sollo and “the best track you’ll ever hear” from Indian prog flute maverick Ramasandiran Somusundaram and it’s a jam-packed hour.
