There’s deconstructed drum n bass from Pessimist, space music from Henge, digital dub from Roger Robinson, a beautiful, long piece from Man Forever, something from down under in the shape of Suburban Cracked Collective, thrash punk from Casual Sect, and the latest stunner from the Gqom Oh! label with TLC Fam.

A surprise new track from The Comet is Coming puts us on the front foot this week. In a week where stuff has truly hit the cooling mechanism in US politics, there are soothing sounds from Germany with LeRoy, from the Maui jungle from Anthony Child AKA Surgeon, and from the USA itself from Marielle V Jakobson. Elsewhere we have Tunisian disco, Italo disco, Colombian samba, and heavy heavy hip hop. Enjoy!

After a week in the wilderness, we’re back with great unknown artists, cult legends and some incredible collaborations – not least the one between Gnod & Surgeon. We kick off with a demo from jazz rockists Blegology and soon mix things up with dystopian electro, flute folk, Brazilian funk, and heavy hitting Soweto. We have collaborations between techno legend Surgeon and Manchester psych rockers Gnod, as well as Portugeses psych band Black Bombain and saxophonist Peter Brötzmann. Throw in some Half Man Half Biscuit and you’ve got yourself an immensely enjoyable hour of independent music.
